iHome Alarm Clocks with Wireless Charging
For years I’ve been a fan of iHome alarm clocks. This week iHome announced a couple new products that work with newer iPhone and Android devices. The new iHome iBTW38 and iHome iBN350v2 include wireless charging and should satisfy anyone looking for a well-rounded alarm clock.
iHome iBN350v2 Bluetooth Dual Alarm Clock
With the iHome iBN350v2 Bluetooth Dual Alarm Clock, you can stream wireless Bluetooth audio from any mobile device. Like the original iBN350, you still get dual alarms. Each can be set for 7-day, 5-day (M-F) or 2-day (weekend only). The digital alarm clock features automatic clock adjustment when you connect from a Bluetooth device.
While I’m not overly fond of using it this way, you can technically function the iBN350V2 as a speakerphone. There’s even a built-in mic with voice echo cancellation. The real big deal here is the integrated Qi-certified wireless charging pad. It sits right on top and supports the iPhone X, iPhone 8/8S, Samsung Galaxy S8 and anything else with Qi support. The rear USB charging port only runs at 1A output, unfortunately, but for overnight power-ups that should do nicely on anything that doesn’t take a wireless charge.

iHome iBTW38 Bluetooth Dual Alarm Clock
The iBTW38 is similar to the iBN350 except that it uses a more “dot matrix” style for the digital display. You still get a fully featured dual alarm system that can wake via Bluetooth audio or alarm. It provides Qi wireless fast charging for compatible iPhones and Samsung Galaxy devices. You can also connect to the rear 1A USB port for legacy charging. A wireless speakerphone works over Bluetooth, but this model also includes the free Melody voice-powered personal music assistant app. Melody lets you play music from Spotify, iHeartRadio and other services.

iHome Alarm Clocks Conclusion
Both of these iHome alarm clocks work well and have excellent features for the price. They don’t price out as cheaply as a bare-bones alarm clock from Walmart, but those rarely include USB charging, dual alarms, and Bluetooth. We’ve been using iHome solutions in our home for years, and they’ve proven to be reliable performers. They also allow for multiple dimming options which helps when you don’t want a “lighthouse beacon” right next to your face as you sleep.
If you haven’t used an iHome alarm clock, check these out—you’re likely to be impressed.
