When we see a great deal, we like to let you know. If you thought we were excited when we saw this TV on sale for under $3000, you should see us now. The 2021 85″ P-Series model from Vizio is on sale at Amazon. The Vizio 85″ P85QX is currently just shy of $2400. To put this in perspective, the 85″ model is $700 off the original asking price of $3100 and the 75″ P75QX runs $1998. This is a great deal on a projector-killing flat panel display with all the bells and whistles. What are they? Well…
The Fine Print
The 85″ P-Series from Vizio features just about everything you’d want in a next-gen display. It is 4k, has 3000 nits of peak brightness, and has 384 local zones of dimming. It supports Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10+ high dynamic range formats. For gamers it has AMD FreeSync Premium, 4k 120Hz framerate support, and low input lag.
The 85″ Vizio P-Series supports HDMI 2.1 on all inputs (great for those that own both an XBox Series X and PS5) and eARC on HDMI port 1. This means you can plug both your game systems into the display and use eARC to send the audio back down to your receiver. At least until you can get a receiver with working HDMI 2.1 inputs and switching. None are currently on the market but should be later in the year.
