BenQ HC1200 Projector
BenQ America released the new HC1200 DLP projector, the latest in its high-brightness Colorific professional and home theater projector lineup. The BenQ HC1200 projector is specifically designed to faithfully represent the sRGB industry color standard—a widely used color system used in smartphones, monitors, cameras and printers, as well as Internet streaming.
The goal with the BenQ HC1200 was to build a 100-percent sRGB color-accurate DLP projector, delivering out-of-the-box color precision and color accuracy with as much as twice the ANSI contrast over equally-priced LCD projectors. In fact, BenQ claims the HC1200 puts up images that look as bright as top-selling 4,000 lumen projectors—with color fidelity and consistency to boot. Because of its DLP system and color wheel, the HC1200 will also continue to display accurate colors for years to come without the risk of fading, ghosting, or yellowing.
The BenQ HC1200 projector is very easy to place, with 1.5x zoom, 2D keystone correction, and an embedded test pattern for quickly squaring up the image to the screen. For even more versatility, the HC1200 lets integrators network the projector with both RJ45 (LAN) and RS232. The projector has dual HDMI inputs, dual D-sub (HD15) computer inputs, S-video, and a composite video input that let you connect just about any source device—including computers. For audio, the BenQ HD1200 projector has 1/8″ mini audio inputs and outputs, and a pair of RCA audio inputs. There are menu controls on the top of the projector so, in a pinch, you can set it up and make minor adjustments without the use of the remote control.
